You’re Invited: J-Pride at Pride

jpridelogo_2013This year J-Pride has even more energy, enthusiasm, and ideas to make Twin Cities Pride week fabulous. J-Pride has undergone a tremendous amount of change and growth this year and we want you to be a part of it! J-Pride has welcomed a new coordinator, hosted several successful community events, created a new logo and mission statement, created a website and even brought together a steering committee of 22 outstanding community members to help guide the change.

J-Pride, along with its community partners, is the ONLY Jewish program to participate in the TWIN CITIES PRIDE FESTIVAL and every year it brings us great naches to know that thousands of attendees wear our J-Pride sticker. Jewish attendees are able to find a home by coming to our happy hour, stopping by the booth, or dancing in the parade down Hennepin Avenue together. J-Pride is a significant and important program for the Jewish community and we are lucky to collaborate with Adath Jeshurun Synagogue, Amos and Celia Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School, Bet Shalom Congregation, Beth El Synagogue, Beth Jacob Congregation, Hillel, Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas, Jewish Community Action, Jewish Family Service of St. Paul, Jewish Federation of Greater St Paul, Jewish Recovery Network, Mayim Rabim Congregation, Minneapolis Jewish Federation, Mount Zion Temple, NCJW Minneapolis, Or Emet, Sabes JCC, Shir Tikvah Congregation, Sholom, St. Paul JCC, Talmud Torah of Minneapolis, Talmud Torah of St. Paul, Temple Israel, Temple of Aaron, and TC Jewfolk.

J-Pride currently exists as a community program housed at JFCS thanks to our very generous lead sponsor, Lisa Heilicher. While J-Pride is supported by JFCS today, J-Pride historically began as a grassroots community group working for visibility and inclusion of LGBT Jews. Below is a listing of events that J-Pride will be participating in during the TWIN CITIES PRIDE WEEK. WE encourage you to celebrate PRIDE with LGBTQ Jews + their friends!
