I have been told by those members that Israel is having to face a situation of continuous threats from some of its neighbours because they "refuse to accept Jesus as the Messiah," and as far as relligious observance Jews would be better off if they were to "dump the Old Testament in the gargabe and accept the New Testament." Of course these statements were made by people whom I consider ignorant and filled with prejudice to say the least. I tried however to understand why they would make such offensive statements and I can only reach the conclusion that they have been brainwashed, that such stand did not arise just of nowhere, someone must have embedded those thoughts into their heads! Is this a reflection of an attitude that originates from higher levels of the Presbyterian Church? I sincerely hope I am wrong, that I was misfortuned and came across the "wrong" type of Presbyterians.... After reading your article I am left with more doubts...
