I have often wondered about the family I never got to know. If my grandparents haden’t come to America when they did, they probably never would have gotten here and I wouldn’t be here either. I do know that everyone of the relatives who stayed in Europe didn’t get out. I wonder if there is someone I would have a great connection with.

Thank you Jenna for making me think about something that would not have come to me on its own. A wonderful memoir that makes me know you even better than I thought I did.

A wonderful tale ! I have been meaning to try to find my grandparents as well……one day I shall look them up as well.

What a thoughtful and provocative story, Jenna. I, too, ruminate on all the cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles who didn’t make the big migration. Do their descendants wonder about us, too? Jane C
