Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer. This position works with JFCS staff to design and create printed pieces that meet the staff’s communication needs. Projects may include logos, brochures, flyers, signage, newsletters, letterhead, business cards, invitations, cards, program booklets, website design, and photography.
- Take projects from concept to completion. Includes conceptualization, design, production, working with vendors and printers.
- Take direction, communicate ideas and concepts, and seek feedback. Meet print needs and deadlines of staff. Coordinate and share work load with colleagues in PR department.
- Get printing bids and advertising prices, select/purchase papers, get specs from newspapers or magazines for display ads, work with service bureaus, photographers, stock image companies and printers.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in art, design or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Three to five years experience in graphic design or print production required.
SKILLS: Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark. Must be able to work with staff and vendors and to manage several projects at once. Must be able to conceptualize and effectively communicate visually what the staff or program seeks to communicate to the audience.
