Temple of Aaron, a 1000+ family progressive Conservative synagogue in St. Paul is seeking a full-time Director of Informal Education and Marketing. Do you have what it takes?
This person is responsible for overseeing the success of the various components of the Youth Department and marketing within the entire Congregation as a whole. This includes 3rd-12th grade programming, as well as coordinating all marketing materials for the congregation in conjunction with the other staff.
This person shall oversee three advisors for each of the younger groups and be the advisor for USY.
The Director is responsible with advisors for all youth programming and working with the USY Board to plan and execute activities and events; recruit new members and market the programs and events to the community; hire and manage volunteers/staff as needed with the Director of Education; oversees the USY Board and ensure all programs fit within National and Regional requirements as well as within the Temple’s strategic plan; and plans and manages the annual Youth Department Play, assists with Purim Carnival, and other such large scale synagogue programming as deemed necessary by the Director of Education and Community Life, YES Chair people, Synagogue Board, or other synagogue staff.
He or she is expected to be a mentor and role model to the congregation’s youth.
This candidate should also exhibit a strong knowledge of Judaism and the Conservative Jewish lifestyle.
