Things do need to get done, whether we like it or not. If it's not during THIS precious family moment, then during some other precious family moment... I wish I could hire a full time maid and quit my day job, or, at least, never need any sleep, so I could just enjoy every single moment with the family... But is it really realistic? I do like the idea of setting aside a spacial time for just being with family, with no distractions, and we do practice it at our home, and not just during Shabbat. But I really don't want to feel like a terrible mother just because I skipped my kids' "quiet playing moment" to do some chores around the house.
