Rosh Hashanah

Today is my first and possibly my only Rosh Hashanah in Israel. It’s amazing how drastically different it is here compared to my hometown in Minnesota. Stores everywhere are closed, synagogues are brightly lit in a way I’ve never seen before, and the streets are covered with Jews left and right. I feel very at home right now and at the same time I’ve never felt like such an outsider. This is truly a magical place and I hope that when I leave here I feel like a real Israeli.
