Wanted: TC Jewfolk Editorial Intern
We’re looking for an editorial intern to join our team. Are you interested in marketing and community outreach? Freakishly organized? Good with numbers? An outgoing personality? If so, you may be the person we’re looking for!
Under the direction of the Managing Editor, the editorial intern will contribute to the daily management of the website and build their blogging, editing and organizing skills through exposure and training on all areas of blog management. Responsibilities will include managing the community calendar, moderating comments on website posts, developing community resources (such as volunteer opportunities) to be featured on the website and assisting with general editorial duties. Additionally, you may help with researching and contributing to feature stories.
The internship will require approximately 5-10 hours per week. Most work can be done from the comfort of your home, but some off-site meetings may be required. You’ll also meet with our editorial staff in person during bi-monthly meetings to discuss projects and receive feedback regularly. This is an unpaid internship; academic credit may available through your program.
To apply for the editorial internship, email Managing Editor Emily Cornell with “Editorial Internship” in the subject line. Include your resume and a concise pitch for why you’re the perfect fit. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis – December 31st deadline.
