I thought you might willfully misunderstand me there...

No, giving up territory to the _Arabs_ is a concession to the enemy. (In my view, a concession with nothing given in exchange but bombs and rockets is not a great deal. Something that Israel's friend, the U.S., should probably not pressure Israel into.)

As far as capitulating to the haredim, the way Israel (unlike its Arab enemies) resolves such issues is by elections (in the most recent of which the right-nationalist-religious bloc won), and parliamentary politics. _Not_ pressure by foreigners (even friends).

So abiding by a US request is a concession to an enemy?

We should capitulate to the same community that is throwing chairs at a holy site by building them thousands of more homes?

Who's the enemy here, Mike?

That just doesn't deserve a substantive answer...

But I'll give one anyway.
Since you put it in the context of the housing expansion and Biden's visit, this is not between nice Jews and chair-throwing Jews. It's between Jews and Arabs.
Maybe those men should be prosecuted for assault. But I don't see why their behavior means that Israel must give a concession to its enemies.

So I'm with the bomb-throwers? Nice try.

As for the non-sequitur...who do you think the new construction in Jerusalem is for? That's right, the same people throwing the chairs!

I'm with the women simply wanting to pray at the wall. And admittedly, you are with the chair throwers.

@ ML's comment:

Well, that's about as bizzare as the comment is a non-sequitur.

These haredi men are certainly being asses, to put it very mildly.
But, you know what, between chair-throwers and bomb-throwers, I choose the chair-throwers.
Sometimes it really is simple.
