Brian,

Will you be wearing your, "This is What a Jewish Feminist Looks Like" t-shirt? Be careful, you might get arrested. :)

Amy

(PS For the record, to my knowledge Brian has no such shirt . . . but he might! :))

The Orthodox must be SO PROUD---screwing people over in Postville on this side of the world, and screwing women over on the other side of the world---the "holy land". How pathetic.

Thank you for your description of the events and your D'Var Torah. It is very difficult to realize that we are the target of senseless hatred not just from opponents of the State of Israel but from the very community of Jews who should be united in love and support.

Thank you for your description of what happened. It's always best to hear from someone who was actually there.

Although it's terrible that women aren't allowed to wear a tallit or read the Torah at the Kotel, as I wrote in the following post http://kissamezuzah.blogspot.com/2010/06/mah-zeh-achim.html
I still don't understand why we aren't all praying as close as we can get to where the Holy of Holies used to be. The only reason that part of the wall called the Kotel is a big deal is it used to be the closest we could get to pray, but it isn't any more.
