You’re Invited: A Tale of Two Cities

Quick. (1) Name the two cities shown in the skylines above.

Now, what book begins, (2) “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times?” That book is set just before the French Revolution.

(3) Who was the King of France in those tumultuous years filled with radical social and political upheaval?

(4) And what King sang:

Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?

(5) What King (or soon-to-be-King) was not lonesome? In fact, he wanted to be rid of an adversary so badly that he fought the champion of the Philistines, striking him in the forehead with a stone from his sling killing Goliath.

Keeping up? If so, you’re ready to Q!
