Job Summary/Description:
Bet Shalom Yeladim is a Reform Jewish preschool that provides an excellent and nurturing educational experience for young children six weeks to five years of age. Through Jewish values, literacy, mathematics and science we prepare children for kindergarten and a lifetime of education and development. Teachers and rabbis welcome children and families of diverse backgrounds into Bet Shalom’s family of friends.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Teacher responsibilities include:
*Working in a collaborative setting with other teachers to provide a warm and caring learning environment for children.
*Meeting the individual needs of each child throughout the day.
*Implement curriculum that is guided by Jewish values and holidays. Candidates for the position do not need to be Jewish but they do need to be comfortable learning and teaching about Judaism in an age appropriate way.
*Open communication with parents
*Participating in staff development and training
*Leading the afternoon extended care
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
2+ years in childcare setting and high school diploma
1+ year in childcare setting and Bachelors degree or Child Development Associates degree
Additional Information:
Looking for someone to work Monday–Thursday 9am-6pm and Fridays 8am-5pm. Benefits available. Sick and vacation days provided.
