The Annual Benefit Development Intern will provide direct support to the Major Events Coordinator in planning and preparing for the JFCS Annual “Laugh on Their Behalf” Benefit, which will be on December 5, 2015. This position will provide critical support in areas such as online auction item fulfillment, raffle ticket sales coordination, on-site event assistance, and data entry. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the team behind this gala event that hosts 1,100 people and raises more than $550,000 to support JFCS programs and services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

• Online auction preparation.
• Raffle coordination, including tracking purchases and preparing raffle tickets bags for the night of the Benefit.
• Assist with preparing materials and prizes.
• Data entry, payment processing, organizing supplies, and post-Benefit wrap-up.

Experience and Qualification Requirements:

EDUCATION: High school diploma, GED, or bachelor’s degree preferred.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills. Computer proficiency, including word processing, email, and database programs. Ability to work independently, and as a team member. Must be able to take direction and ask questions if understanding of tasks is not clear prior to beginning project.

Additional Information:

This is a volunteer internship. The schedule will vary, with 5-15 hours per week through approximately mid-December.
