Job Title: Development & Communications Associate

Reports To: Annual Campaign Officer/Director of Marketing and Communications

Job Summary: The Development & Communications Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the Federation’s overall development and growth initiatives. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. The position works closely with the Annual Campaign Officer and Director of Marketing and Communications to implement development and campaign plans including planning fundraising events and helping manage the donor database as well as oversee digital communications with an emphasis on development-focused communications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Donor Engagement

  • Serve as the point-person for affinity groups, including Cardozo Society, Maimonides Society, and Next Generation giving
  • Help create compelling communications with donors, which may include thank you notes, reports, and impact statements
  • Calling donors to verify pledges, respond to donor inquiries

Marketing and Communications

  • Craft and manage email, digital, and mobile solicitations for all Development activities
  • Develop promotional materials, including print and digital collateral for all Development related activities
  • Contribute to the Federation’s social media accounts with donor impact content creation
  • Serve as an admin for the website, updating content as needed
  • Support the creation of promotional materials, including print and digital collateral for all Development related activities
  • Provide project and event support for the Director of Marketing and Communications as needed
  • Contribute to newsletter story development including drafting stories and capturing photos for newsletters, annual reports

Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Nonprofit management, Business, Marketing, Communications, etc.) or related experience
  • 2+ years in marketing, communications, development area
