It’s time to talk about camp, Jewfolk.
Several Jewish summer camps announced their decisions this week to postpone or cancel sessions this season in light of the Coronavirus health crisis. Our families are grieving and retooling plans for summer, and we thought it would be helpful to draw back the curtain on the many factors have gone into the very difficult decision making processes for camp administrators.
In this live streaming conversation, Lev Gringauz of The Jews Are Tired podcast and Lonny Goldsmith, Editor at TC Jewfolk, will “sit down” with directors of Camp Butwin, Camp Olami, Herzl Camp, Camp TEKO, Camp Ramah, and ORSUI, to have this conversation and open the forum up for questions. Our goal is for attendees to gain some closure and to create a better community understanding of how and why these decisions have been made.
Tune in to Facebook Live on TC Jewfolk’s page on Thursday to watch and submit questions for the panel. You’re also welcome to send questions to us ahead of time and watch the conversation later on—it will be recorded.
