TEXT: Mishnah Peah / Prayer for those who serve the community
Rabbi Tamar Magill-Grimm, Beth Jacob Congregation
Psychologists tell us that one of the greatest antidotes to loneliness and despair can be found in creating and fostering community. But community is not always easy. It places high demands upon us and requires us to communicate effectively, tolerate difference and be willing to give up some of our independence and autonomy. Given these challenges, why do so many say that it is crucial to healthy living? What should our responsibilities be within a community and how do we create communities that help us thrive?
“What Torah represents the impact you would like to have?” Rabbinic leaders from the Twin Cities respond.
Join as many sessions (which are 1 hour each, unless noted) as you are able, to partake of Torateynu: The Torah of Our Community.
