Noam will teach from their work on communities during the rise of Islam, Jewish life in medieval Spain and Egypt, the Ottoman Empire, the impact of colonialism and nationalism, and how the story continues into our times. Noam is a scholar of Jewish culture and history, focusing on the medieval and early modern periods, and with a particular interest in Jewish communities in the Islamic world.
