Having a Ball: Minnesota’s Jewish Country Clubs

Presented by Kate Dietrick, Archivist, Upper Midwest Jewish Archives

Teeing off into the history of local Jewish country clubs, we will especially explore the women who were active in spaces where the unspoken maxim may have once been “gentlemen only, ladies forbidden.”

This presentation is part of the University of Minnesota Libraries First Fridays lecture series. The hour will be shared with a presentation by Ryan Mattke, Head, John R. Borchert Map Library, who will be talking on Recreation and Leisure Through a Cartographic Lens.

Arrive before noon to enjoy a light lunch from Pizza Luce. After the presentations we will offer tours of the caverns under the building where we store the archives.
