You may still attend if you missed session one. In our first conversation about public safety, we responded to a scenario in which a police officer approaches a potentially stolen car. Feedback from our session was merged with feedback from multiple faith groups and given to Commissioner Harrington. He told us that our feedback has already had an impact on policing in 3 ways, including a new policing grant and a response from Camden police who found the emphasis on Sanctity of Life particularly meaningful.
Join us for our second session in which we will be exploring the conflicting values that can occur when responding to a domestic violence call. As we discuss religious teachings that might impact our response, we’ll examine both Jewish and Buddhist approaches. Lend your voice to the discussion as we help Commissioner Harrington build the Beloved Community. Sponsored by Adath’s Antiracism Committee. Contact Alisha Litman-Zelle, [email protected] for any questions.
