If you are born Jewish/person of color or white/married to someone Jewish/converted or interested in converting/like Jewish foods, books, culture/straight or member of the LGBTQ community/believe in God or don’t believe in God/love asking questions/enjoy studying words, thoughts and ideas/into mindfulness/curious about religion, Torah, ethics, Israel, care of the environment/care about tikkun olam (social justice and healing the earth) then this gathering is for you!
Rabbi Sharon Stiefel and other congregational leaders of Mayim Rabim Congregation – the only Reconstructionist synagogue in the Twin Cities – will share their ideas about Judaism as a dynamic, evolving tradition, along with information about Mayim Rabim’s history, values and ritual practices We look forward to meeting you, listening to your questions, and sharing with you the basics of what it means to be a Reconstructionist Jew.
