Jewish Civilization: The Roots of Our Shared Story

The Jewish People continue to steward an ancient civilization indigenous to Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel). This resilient people introduced countercultural ideas about God, human dignity, and the responsibilities of freedom that shape our world’s moral foundations. For 2,500 years, Jews have also endured a distinctive pattern of hostility built on a big lie that casts Jews as threats to whatever society values most.

In this seminar, we’ll explore the core ideas of Jewish civilization and the pattern of antisemitism—and why recognizing both is essential for making sense of our shared story and its impact on our world.
