Jewish War Veterans of the United States, Department of Minnesota, announce the following observances for Memorial Day, Monday, May 29:
- 9:30 a.m. at Chesed Shel Emes Cemetery in St. Paul, 1600 Christie Place, St. Paul; Rabbi Meier Rubenfeld will deliver the d’var, and the guest speaker will be U.S. Representative Dean Phillips (D-MN), whose birth father, Capt. Arthur Pfefer, U.S. Army (z-l) is interred at Chesed Shel Emes
- 10:15 a.m. at Sons of Jacob/Sons of Moses/Sons of Abraham Cemetery, 1232 Barclay St., St. Paul,
- 11 a.m. at Temple of Aaron Cemetery, Dale at Larpenteur in Roseville
- 11 a.m., Mount Zion, 1670 Payne Ave., St. Paul (to be covered by Department Commander Lou Michaels)
- 12:30 p.m., Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave. S., Minneapolis, (JWV to be represented by Lou Michaels)
