Luminary Havdalah 2024

Luminary Havdalah is a free community-wide gathering outdoors at Levin Park, just east of Lake of the Isles, at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, the evening of Luminary Loppet festival. Jews and friends from around the Twin Cities are invited to come together to sing, celebrate, and bring some light into this special winter’s night.

After an elaborate musical Havdalah ceremony, participants can saunter over to Lake of the Isles to enjoy the Loppet (**separate admission required**).
Wear boots and bring a thermos to receive some hot drinks!
Accessibility: The small Levin park has sidewalks surrounding it, but the park itself will likely be covered with snow.
If you have any questions or would like your organization to formally participate in the event, please email Rabbi Tobias Moss, [email protected], to coordinate.
Luminary Havdalah is a partner event of Klezmer on Ice, the Twin Cities’ second annual wintertime Klezmer + Yiddish music festival, running from February 1-4, 2024. Visit for more information.
