Luminary Havdalah

Luminary Havdalah is a free community-wide gathering outdoors at Levin Park, just east of Lake of the Isles, at 7:00 p.m. on February 5—the evening of the Luminary Loppet festival. Jews and friends from around the Twin Cities are invited to come together to sing, celebrate, and bring some light into this special winter’s night.

After an elaborate Havdalah ceremony featuring the a cappella group Shir Harmony and an immersive ritual, participants can head to Lake of the Isles to enjoy the Loppet (**separate admission required**). Dress warm, wear boots and bring a thermos to receive some hot drinks!Note: Luminary Havdalah is free, but the Luminary Loppet requires tickets, purchased at The Loppet features a winding trail on Lake of the Isles with 1,200 luminaries and unique ice features. You can walk, ski or snowshoe on the trail.

Accessibility: The small Levin park has sidewalks surrounding it, but the park itself will likely be covered with snow.
