Parents and Self-Care: Beyond the Bubble Bath
Join us over the lunch hour on Zoom on November 2 and 9th.
We know that parenting is the most challenging and most rewarding job there is. Parents often feel like they have limited time, so many decisions to make, and too much to do in a given day. If you have ever felt overwhelmed, exhausted by daily parenting tasks, like you have lost control of your own time or schedule, or would just like to feel more grounded, we welcome you to attend this two-session class.
All parents and caregivers are welcome to come to these two sessions. We encourage you to attend both, but if you can make just one, we look forward to seeing you there. Learn more and register here: https://www.jfcsmpls.org/event/parents-and-self-care-beyond-the-bubble-bath/2022-11-02/
The sessions are led by Cassie Zell and Leah Persky over Zoom. If you have questions reach out to Leah at [email protected]
Cassie is a master’s student in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching at the University of Minnesota. Cassie was drawn to health coaching after working through her own health challenges and finding healing through integrative therapies. Cassie truly believes in the value of doing the personal work to grow, evolve, and work towards the life you desire.
Leah is the Manager of Family Life Education and Addiction and Recovery Services at JFCS. She is a Certified Family Life Educator through the National Council of Family Relations and has a PhD in Political Science with a focus on Gender, health and policymaking. Wellbeing is central to Leah’s work and she has a passion for supporting parents as they care for their own well-being, while also caring for their family. When not spending time with her kids and family, you can find her running, working out, skiing, gardening or reading.
Register for the events and you will receive the Zoom link within 1-2 business days of your registration. There is no cost for this event, but donations to JFCS are always greatly appreciated.
