Prep + Schlep (Part of #ShareShabbat!)
Prep + Schlep | 2/19 | 7-9 p.m.
All right, you’ve taken your crash course. You’ve got your challot at home, ready to pop in the oven. But wait — you need a whole dinner for everyone you’ve invited to your Shabbat! Don’t know what to prepare, or how to prepare it? We’ve got you. The $100 ticket covers a meal to serve eight people that you’ll PREP at Federation and then SCHLEP back to your house, where you can pop it in the oven. Easy and delicious. At Federation on Wednesday, February 19th, 7 to 9 PM.
Here’s your Shabbat menu: Chicken soup with matzo balls; Roast chicken; Rice; Green beans; Kugel.
What is #ShareShabbat? On February 21, we’re issuing an in-home social challenge to share Shabbat with someone with whom you’ve never shared Shabbat before. It doesn’t have to be a stranger — it might be someone you work out with or sit next to at your kids’ soccer practice. Leading up to Share Shabbat, we’ll pre-empt barriers with four events, including challah bakes, a crash course in hosting Shabbat, and a fun cooking class called Prep and Schlep. And by the way — this social challenge has nothing to do with observance. It’s for whether you celebrate Shabbat every week, or it’s your first time since Jewish summer camp. Pick and choose what lead-up events you want to come to below, and #ShareShabbat with us on the 21st! Questions? Contact our Community Connector, Giti Fredman.
