Amos Atzmon embodies resilience and determination in his pursuit of positively impacting Israeli society. His journey is marked by distinguished military service, where he rose to the rank of Company Commander despite a severe injury sustained during Operation Protective Edge in 2014.

Following his military service, Amos channeled his determination into his academic pursuits, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Tel Aviv University’s LL.B. program. He engaged in various legal roles, including working at the Tel Aviv District Court, the Ministry of Justice, and the Supreme Court of Israel.

Amos’ aspirations are deeply rooted in his commitment to advocating for the rights of disabled IDF veterans. He seeks to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for these individuals who have sacrificed so much for their country. Amos’ ultimate ambition is to become a judge.

The generous support of the E. David Fischman Scholarship will enable Amos to pursue a graduate degree in law at Columbia University this fall. This program will provide him with the necessary knowledge, skills, and global perspectives to effectively prepare for making a long-lasting impact in the Israeli public sector.
