This event will feature a parent seminar by Dr. Joshua Stein, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.

Mental Health in the Mishpacha:

Two evenings of discussion, engagement and enrichment regarding the mental health of children and their families.

Session 1:

• How do we approach mental health in children, keeping in mind they are not just small adults?
• Clarifying differences in warning signs in our youth; Where do I turn for help?
• Post Covid Blues: What happened to resilience and where can we go from here?
• Understanding the levels of care and access points in our mental health system and a review of current trends in our mental health system.

Dr. Joshua Stein, a 2023 Minneapolis Magazine rising star physician, is the Youth Services Medical Director at PrairieCare practicing as a general and child adolescent psychiatrist. He is part of the award-winning Psychiatric Assistance Line, providing psychiatric education and support to primary care physicians throughout the state to expand access to psychiatric resources. He is a dynamic speaker, with topics including ADHD, psychotropic interventions, suicide awareness & prevention. He is the former president of the Minnesota Society for Child Adolescent Psychiatry and a local and national advocate for children’s mental health needs. He is also a graduate of the Minneapolis Talmud Torah.
