Shelter of Justice: A Housing Justice Sukkot

In the face of increased evictions and displacement as a daily reality, how do we envision a world of stable housing? What does structural change look like to enable thriving communities? We invite you to ask these questions with us and more at a special Sukkot event on the capitol lawn.

We will build our Sukkah as a space of emerging artistic and social action, with live screen printing to raise money for the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association Renters Fund and powerful conversations about what home means to us.

In juxtaposition to the impermanence of the Sukkah, we will learn from our partners at Our Future Starts with Home about an upcoming constitutional amendment campaign to permanently expand funding at the state level for affordable housing.

Come join us as we break bread, create art, and rededicate ourselves to the need for housing justice.
