Taste of Memories
Join us for an evening of cooking, stories, and remembrance as we honor lives lost through the dishes they loved. Current St. Paul Shaliach, Tal C., will be leading this event. Registration is required, and the location will be disclosed to registrants closer to the date of the event.
Many of you may remember Eden, who served as the community Shlicha in St. Paul from 2015–2017. During her time here, Eden founded “Matkon im Zikaron: Taste of Memories” – beginning as intimate gatherings—cooking together and sharing the stories of Israel’s fallen soldiers—the organization has grown into a global nonprofit active across Israel and Jewish communities worldwide.
Over the past decade, and especially since the war that began on October 7, the initiative has expanded significantly. With the profound losses Israel continues to face, the program’s mission of remembrance through cooking has taken on even deeper meaning. Many bereaved families have reached out, hoping to preserve the memories of their loved ones through the stories and recipes that defined them.
