From the politically astute mind of Palestinian Israeli writer Sayed Kashua and Israeli Jewish director Guri Alfi comes Madrasa, a fast-paced comic TV series set at the Peace School for Bilingual Education in Jerusalem. Palestinian Israeli Khaled joins the school when his family moves from Haifa, while Jewish Israeli Shira considers transferring to a larger high school but falls for Khaled. With a delightful multilingual soundtrack, Madrasa captures the growing pains of adolescence amidst the backdrop of Israeli societal conflicts.
TCJFF is pleased to present episodes 1-3 from the first season of this series, followed by a pre-recorded talkback.
Presented in partnership with the Israel Center of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation
