Vegan Lunch in the Sukkah
It’s fall & the Jewish festival of harvest & thanksgiving is here. Join us for a vegan potluck in the Shir Tikvah sukkah as we celebrate Sukkot.
We remember the ancient Israelites who, at this time of year, would reap their fields & build sukkot (huts) in the far-flung corners of their farms. They would eat & rest in these temporary shelters to avoid returning home several times a day while busy gathering crops.
Please bring a vegan dish to share (no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey) plus a serving utensil & your own place setting. The sukkah will be decorated w/art & supplied w/tables & chairs.
