Your Genealogy Center in Fort Wayne, IN
Did you know that the Allen County Public Library has the second-largest genealogical library collection in the United States and that much of its holdings can be accessed online? That’s why the 2025 IAJGS (International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies) conference will be in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In his presentation, Curt Witcher, the Manager of the Genealogy Center, will explore with us the international holdings and datafiles at the library, emphasizing those of interest for Jewish research. He will demonstrate how to explore the expansive holdings and datafiles of the Genealogy Center, both remotely and in-person.
Curt Witcher is the Director of Special Collections at the Allen County Public Library, managing the widely acclaimed Genealogy Center. A former president of both the Federation of Genealogical Societies and the National Genealogical Society, and the founding president of the Indiana Genealogical Society, Curt currently serves on several Indiana State historical and genealogical boards and committees.
