SUMMARY:Violins of Hope: Strings of the Holocaust Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:Narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody\, Violins of Hope – Strings of the Holocaust follows Israeli master violinmaker Amnon Weinstein as he restores violins carried by starving Jewish refugees on death marches\, played under coercion in concentration camps\, and held close in ghettos and work camps—each instrument bearing witness to suffering\, courage\, and resilience. The film interweaves these histories with Weinstein’s mission to collect\, repair\, and return the violins to the world’s stages through performances by renowned musicians and orchestras\, an act of love and defiance against those who tried to silence both the music and a people. \nPost-film conversation featuring Janet Horvath. Ms. Horvath was the associate principal cello of the Minnesota Orchestra from 1980-2012. Her new book\, The Cello Still Sings – A Generational Story of the Holocaust and of the Transformative Power of Music\, will be available for purchase and signing. \nView Trailer Here

SUMMARY:Stories from the Tribe: Twin Cities
DESCRIPTION:Stories From the Tribe is TC Jewfolk’s biggest night of the year — a joyful evening of Jewish storytelling that also fuels everything we do.  \nFor one unforgettable evening\, 12 community members take the bima to share their true Jewish stories – about family\, the generations that shape us\, and the complicated\, hilarious\, sacred\, and sometimes messy experience of being Jewish today. \nSome stories will make you laugh.\nSome might make you cry.\nAll of them will remind you that the threads connecting us as Jews – across generations\, identities\, and experiences – are stronger than we sometimes realize. \nIn this moment\, when the world feels heavy\, gathering together in Jewish community matters more than ever. Stories from the Tribe is a chance to pause\, breathe\, laugh\, and remember that our stories are what keep Jewish life vibrant. \nStories from the Tribe is TC Jewfolk’s signature annual fundraiser. When you give\, you ensure that Jewish voices are heard and Jewish stories are told. Your donation sustains the independent Jewish journalism\, storytelling\, podcasts\, and community connections that TC Jewfolk delivers year round. \nOur show will once again be emceed by the incredible Jordana Green\, co-host of The Adam & Jordana Show on WCCO Radio\, guiding us through an evening that promises to be heartfelt\, hilarious\, and deeply meaningful. \nThank you for joining with us to amplify Jewish voices. Storytelling isn’t just what we do – it’s how we build Jewish community. \nShow date: June 22\, 2026\nDoors open: 6:00 PM\nShow begins: 7:00 PM\nNew this year thanks to a generous donor: Community dessert reception to follow \nLocation details will be shared upon ticket purchase. \nGet your tickets today!

SUMMARY:Violins of Hope: Strings of the Holocaust Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:Narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody\, Violins of Hope: Strings of the Holocaust follows Israeli master violinmaker Amnon Weinstein as he restores violins carried by starving Jewish refugees on death marches\, played under coercion in concentration camps\, and held close in ghettos and work camps—each instrument bearing witness to suffering\, courage\, and resilience. The film interweaves these histories with Weinstein’s mission to collect\, repair\, and return the violins to the world’s stages through performances by renowned musicians and orchestras\, an act of love and defiance against those who tried to silence both the music and a people. \nPost-film conversation featuring Violins of Hope Co-Founder Avshi Weinstein. \nView Trailer Here
