Opportunity Summary/Description:

Hello, and I hope this finds you well. My name is Joshua Pearl, and I am a fourth-year graduate student in the Counseling Psychology doctoral program at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis. I am recruiting participants for my dissertation study which will explore experiences of racial and ethnic identity in White American Jewish people. Knowledge of such experiences could help therapists in their work with this population, and contribute Jewish perspectives to multicultural research in counseling psychology. If you meet the criteria listed below, please consider participating as well as sharing this study information to other potential participants in your community.

To participate in this study, you must:

  1. Identify as Jewish
  2. Identify as White
  3. Be 18 years of age or older
  4. Have lived in the United States for at least 10 years

Eligible participants will be asked to complete an initial demographic survey. Then, you may be selected to engage in an individual interview in which questions about personal experiences of race and ethnicity will be discussed. The interview will last 60-90 minutes and be conducted via secure, online video chat. Following the interview, all participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback about initial data resulting from the study.

This link will take you to a consent form and demographic survey:
