It’s time to be entertained: Talent show, jazz concert, art exhibit, story slams, author reading! If you have any energy left, go do a little holiday shopping. I’m so excited!

A Little Song, A Little Dance… ($5—suggested)

Talent Show and Silent Auction

Sat. Nov. 14; 6:30 p.m.; Mayim Rabim Congregation; 44th St and York Ave South

The Potash Twins LIVE at Icehouse

Sat. Nov. 14; 10 p.m.; Icehouse; 2528 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis, MN

Get two for the price of one when you catch the duo that NPR labeled “Twin Horns of Joy,” as they take Icehouse by storm with their music. Apparently, brothers Adeev and Ezra Potash were guided by jazz legend Wynton Marsalis. Most importantly, they’re originally from my hometown, Omaha, NE. Wait a second! Does this mean I know a celebrity?! Sweet!! My life has meaning, now!

IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN, KIDS!! Yes, the holidays are upon us and all the gift-giving and artifice that comes along with them!! That being said, if you’re going to do a little shopping for friends and family, you could at least shop for a good cause, as this event is benefitting The Mount Sinai Community Foundation. Some of the businesses featured this year include Julia Moss Designs, Thumbs Cookies, Isadore Nut Company, StormSisterSpatique, Goldfine Jewelry (formally SBG Designs), Thirty-One Gifts, Jamberry Nails, Bella Nava Creations, Wowee Wear, Senn & Sons and more!
