Jewish Song of the Week: ‘Tree of Life’ by Todd Herzog

Tu B’Shvat is almost here, and it’s a chance to celebrate the magnificence of nature! There’s a reason we call Torah a “Tree of Life” — because we understand just how important the role trees play in our natural world, and this is similar to the role Torah plays in our Jewish lives and communities. This song from my longtime friend Todd Herzog celebrates the “tree” at the core of our identities as Jews, and by living by the values of Torah, we come to understand the value of taking care of our world, which is so central to this holiday. Happy Tu B’Shvat!
