Matisyahu’s latest album, “Akeda” is an emotive, poetic and deeply personal attempt to document his struggle, and I find it to be the most honest and real recording Matis has released to date.
Win two Matisyahu tickets for his October 24 show at the Pantages.

Matisyahu opens up about his music, but don’t ask him about his beard. He performs an acoustic show at Adath this coming Thursday. Tickets on sale now.
Live at Stubbs, the album that put Matisyahu on the map, came out in 2005. I remember being at camp that summer and hearing it on every stereo throughout the whole grounds. Matisyahu shows the world his face and gives us an opportunity to re-claim our identity.
Matisyahu is going through a change in his life. It’s apparent that he’s had a moment of clarity, and he’s running with it.
