Grab your costume and get your groggers ready, because Purim is right around the corner! There’s plenty of carnivals, megillah readings and hamantashen to satisfy your cravings this year. If you’re still looking for a place to celebrate, look no further — TC Jewfolk has your back.

  • Adath Jeshurun Purim Carnival: Hamen’s bouncy house, Queen Esther’s face painting, Mordecai’s obstacle course, food and more! Feb. 25 at Adath from 11:30-2:30 p.m.
  • Purim Young Family Event: Aish is hosting an interactive Purim event for families with children ages 9 and under! Feb. 25 at Sabes JCC from 11:30-2 p.m.
  • Newman School Purim Program: Includes light dinner, music, games and fun. Free and open to the public. Feb. 27 at Talmud Torah of St. Paul from 5:30-7 p.m.
  • Superhero Purim: Get your best superhero outfit for Superhero Purim at Bet Shalom! 5 p.m. carnival, 6 p.m. spiel and megillah reading, Feb. 28.
  • A Totally Rad 80s Purim: For all ages, a totally rad 80s-style Purim party at Mount Zion Temple on Feb. 28. Food available for purchase at 5 p.m. Shushan Deli, 5:45 p.m. service and megillah reading, 7:30-8:30 p.m. Esther Revealed in an adult study of Esther based on the abuse of power with Rabbi Adam Stock Spilker and Amy Ariel
  • Purim on the Big Screen: A red carpet-themed screening of the Megillah at Adath Jeshurun Feb. 28. Open to all ages. Dinner 5:15 p.m., kids’ costume contest and parade 6 p.m., megillah 6:30 p.m. with original videos, 7:30 p.m. ice cream social. Tickets for purchase here.
  • Roaring 20’s Purim: 20’s-themed glitz and glam at the Moxy Uptown Feb. 28 hosted by Chabad Young Professionals. Open bar, sushi bar, dessert bar (hamantashen included!), megillah and music. 7-10 p.m. Tickets available for purchase.
  • Twin Cities Purim Party: A community-wide (!!) Purim celebration March 3, brought to you by the Jewish community of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Come celebrate with your fave TC Jews at The Loop West End at 7 p.m. Free and open to the public, but tickets required. Includes two free drink tickets and light kosher snacks. Plus, there will be a costume contest. With prizes, we might add.
  • Purim at Beth El:
    • Feb. 28 megillah reading and shpiel, 6:15-9 p.m. Family dance party, adult wine tasting, hamantashen and ice cream,  7:45-9 p.m.
    • Purim carnival March 4, 11-2 p.m.
  • Purim at Beth Jacob:
    • Feb. 28 Mendota Megillah Madness: Erev Purim Hoedown, 6:30 p.m.
    • March 4 Purim Carnival, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
  • Mayim Rabim Purim Celebration: PURIM! Play, dinner and megillah reading. Pizza dinner, with gluten-free options available. Feb. 28 from 6-8 p.m.
