Who The Folk?! Hazzan Jeremy Lipton

What’s it like to go from a career largely on the pulpit to running a supplemental Hebrew school program? Hazzan Jeremy Lipton is about to find out. Lipton is settling in as the new Head of School at Talmud Torah of Minneapolis, but he tells us that going from being a hazzan on the pulpit to running a school isn’t too much of a stretch.

“What we as clergy do is engaging individuals and the community in living Jewish lives,” he explains. “I’ve spent a lot of my cantorate as an educator.”

Lipton explains much more on that, as well as bigger topics like his vision for the future of Talmud Torah and finding balance between a supplemental school and all the other demands on a family, so enjoy Hazzan Jeremy Lipton on this week’s Who The Folk?! Podcast
