Win Free Tickets to a Night with Stephen Sondheim at the State Theatre

Theater buffs, we love you. And we take care of you, nu?
That’s why we’re giving away a FREE PAIR OF TICKETS ($86 value) to Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Living Legends evening with legendary Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim at the State Theatre on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 8:00pm.
The evening, entitled “Stephen Sondheim: a Life in the Theatre,” will feature Sondheim in conversation with Star Tribune theatre critics Rohan Preston and Graydon Royce.
You’re probably dying right now if you’re a fan of any of these Broadway shows for which Sondheim was the composer and/or lyricist … hmmm… which to pick … how about Into the Woods, West Side Story, Sweeney Todd, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum? Or if you love any of his songs, from “Everything’s Coming Up Roses” to “Send in the Clowns.”
The man’s awards list is not too shabby either – Sondheim is the winner of an Academy Award, multiple Tony Awards (nine, more than any other composer) including the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre (received 2008), multiple Grammy Awards, and a Pulitzer Prize. And did we mention he’s Jewish?

How Can I Win the Free Tickets?

To win the free pair of tickets (valued at $43 each) to the conversation with Sondheim at the State Theatre on March 5, 2010, all you have to do is tell us this, in the comments below. We also promise to send your questions to the folks running the event. We can’t promise that Rohan and Graydon will ask them, but you can always try, right?
