You’re Invited: Jewish Community Day @ MOA!

Yes, we’ve all been to the largest mall in the United States. But have you ever wanted to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make it run smoothly? Jewish Community Day at Mall of America is offering that.

From 1-7 p.m. on March 10, you can take advantage of tours where you can see the inner workings of the Mall, a security tour that includes a K9 unit that is one of the five largest in the country, and discounts to some of the most fun attractions at MOA. The event is brought to you by the Sabes JCC, St. Paul JCC and Mall of America, and co-sponsored by 39 other Jewish organizations in the Twin Cities.

“The Sabes and St Paul JCCs share a mission of bringing the community together for meaningful moments of engagement,” said Tamar Fenton, the director of donor relations and special projects for the Sabes JCC. “Jewish Community Day at MOA is a new endeavor that we hope will capture the imagination of the broadest scope of our community so we can enjoy time together in ways that break down barriers to connecting with one another.

“It has been an amazing success already in that 40 local Jewish organizations and synagogues have signed on to be co-sponsors of the event.”

You can take advantage to discounted admissions to Dutchman’s Deck Adventure Course, 5D Extreme Attraction, FlyOver America, Moose Mountain Adventure Golf, Rock of Ages Blacklight Min-Golf, Sea Life Aquarium, The Escape Game, XD ride, and more. There are also discounted Nickelodeon Universe wristbands, a discount coupon booklet to MOA stores and restaurants, and Kosher Food options.

There will also be youth group meetups for teens.

“We know the impact that can happen when hundreds of our teens come together in a positive way- it can deepen their desire to engage with the Jewish community now and later in life,” he said. “If it starts or is strengthened by riding a roller coaster together or grabbing some kosher Cinnabons while sharing a laugh, then Jewish Community Day at MOA will have met one of our goals.”

JLink, a group of emerging and established Jewish business professionals in the Twin Cities, is offering a chance for you to hear from MOA’s Chief Business Officer and Jewish business owner, John Ghermezian.
