Hudsucker Proxy. Those that agree know exactly why.
fargo still throws me for a loop every time. the calm randomness, the violet randomness, the quiet end of the day… i love it every time. priceless editing in the car dealership
Fargo, because I love Frances McDormand. And the line “White Bear Lake, go Bears!”
My head says Big Lebowski, but my heart will not abide and says Fargo.
Fargo is a gem of a film. It gives all Minnesotans cause to step back and reflect on our regional dialect only to insist that those of us who reside in the, “cities” have no such accent. Yes, denial runs firmly though the heart of our metropolitan area.
I think the best part of the film, is the very start of it. Stirring up local urban myths that Fargo is indeed, “based on a true story.”
All the movies are great – but I do believe I may love Fargo the best. After all, it was my first.
For me, Fargo edges out Hudsucker Proxy by a hair. Brilliant performances by all the leads, not to mention one of the coolest female protagonists ever. Add in all the hilarious Minnesota stuff and I’m hooked.
Burn After Reading, because of the extremely dark humor. Everything about the movie is clever and original.
Big Lebowski takes the win because it is one of the few films that you can quote and everyone in the room knows exactly what you are talking about and gets a big smile on their face!
The Big Lebowski. It is the best movie ever made in addition to a lot ifs, haves and what-have-yous.
Thank you all for entering the contest! “My Hat” picks Cat at the winner. I’ll send you an email right away. Stay tuned for more contests in the coming weeks. Subscribe to the blog posts so you never miss ’em!
