I dare you to walk into Brochin’s Judaica gift and book shop in Saint Louis Park without buying something. Kipot. Dreidels. Books. CDs. Art. Jewish toys.
When I walked into the doors of that store, once in the old Jewish neighborhood of North Minneapolis, now on West 36th Street in Saint Jewish Park, I thought I was going to be snagging a $25 gift certificate to give away to one lucky TC Jewfolk reader (and I did), but I also left with a handful of dreidels, three suede Kipot, Hanukkah gift wrap, and a wall full of Hanukkah decorations.
Brochin’s promises its customers one of the largest selections of Judaica and related products from Israel in the upper Midwest, and I don’t doubt it. They’ve been a Midwest Jewish institution and gathering place (the closest we get to Jerusalem’s shuk) for more than 100 years, and if you’re looking for a stunning selection of Hanukkah gifts – from Jewish art, to Hanukkah menorahs (from $10 to $200), to Israeli dead sea beauty products, to dreidels (.05 cents to $150), to over a thousand Jewish book titles – there’s no better place to shop. Too bad we’re giving away our $25 Brochin’s gift certificate after Hanukkah is over.
Nu, so you want to win $25 to Brochin’s?

To whet your appetite, here’s a peek at what Brochin’s has for sale. But please, check it out yourself in person. And if you have (temporarily) moved away from the Twin Cities, you can always buy online at www.brochins.com.
I’d be remiss not to mention that after you go to Brochin’s and buy the Jewish star necklace for your sister, “Songs in the Key of Hanukkah” by Sacha Baron Cohen’s brother for your uncle, and the book “How to Raise a Jewish Dog” for your Bubbe, if you still need to buy someone a TV, or pots and pans, jeans, a lamp, or anything not specifically Jewish, please shop at TC Jewfolk’s Amazon.com store.
Every time you shop at TC Jewfolk’s Amazon.com store, we get a percentage of the sale, and you help us grow, pay our writers, and continue to provide you with news about Twin Cities Jewish gems like Brochin’s for years to come.
Great Article and my very favorite store!
Thank you for featuring it – Barry works hard to make this store a success and a community resource for Judaica.
