Job Summary/Description:
Master Teacher on Shabbat mornings supervises and administers a group of 5th graders and their teen teachers. No t’fillah skills required, but they are a bonus. Classroom management skills required.
Torah reading teachers must be skilled and must have classroom management skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Master teacher: 9:15 a.m.-noon on many, but not all, Shabbat mornings during the school year. Assigns students to their teachers. Supervises this small group learning. Monitors progress of students.
Torah teachers: Teach Torah reading to B’nai Mitzvah students who are working on their parsha.
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
Master Teacher: management of a group of students, organizational skills,
easy going and friendly personality
Torah reading: skilled in reading Torah, classroom management
