Job Summary/Description:
Bet Shalom Yeladim is a Reform Jewish preschool that provides an excellent and nurturing educational experience for young children six weeks to five years of age. Through Jewish values, literacy, mathematics and science we prepare children for kindergarten and a lifetime of education and development. Teachers and rabbis welcome children and families of diverse backgrounds into Bet Shalom’s family of friends.
AM Care Teacher will provide care for children from 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Monday-Friday. This teacher will then be scheduled in Infants, Toddlers, Preschool or Pre-K. Hours will vary each week and be part-time. This position has potential in moving to a full-time position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Teacher responsibilities include:
*Providing care for children during morning care hours.
*Working in a collaborative setting with other teachers to provide a warm and caring learning environment for children.
*Meeting the individual needs of each child throughout the day.
*Implement curriculum that is guided by Jewish values and holidays.
*Open communication with parents
*Participating in staff development and training
*Must be flexible in availabilty
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
*Candidate must have high school degree with 2080 hours of experience with children in a school setting and 12 quarter credits pertaining to early education OR
*Two years of postsecondary education and 1040 hours of experience with children in a school setting OR
*Bachelors degree with 9 quarter credits pertaining to early education
