Job Summary/Description:
Jewish Family Service of St. Paul seeks a F/T Senor Development Manager to further its fundraising efforts. The SDM will work closely with the CEO and staff appropriate committees to achieve the agency’s fundraising goals. The SDM will create and implement a fundraising plan that includes strategies to maximize the agency’s fundraising efforts including annual giving, planned giving and special projects. Strategies include on-line, direct mail, face-to-face, special events and grant writing. The SDM must be goal oriented and results driven.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The SDM will meet with current donors and well as high-quality, pre-qualified prospects; develop collateral materials; identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors; work with and develop volunteers; manage donor database and ensure donor information is correct and updated; generate and analyze development reports; conduct prospect research; attend community events.
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
Candidates should have a broad knowledge of development concepts, a proven track record of broad fundraising strategies, be competent in Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and donor databases (Bloomerang), possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be an energetic self-starter, detail oriented, and team player committed to the agency and its mission. Knowledge of the Jewish community and culture is helpful. Bachelor degree and minimum 3 years of fundraising experience required. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop and grow the agency’s Resource Development Program.
