Job Summary/Description:
Shir Tikvah seeks spirited, loving Jewish role models with a background or interest in education. We have a few teaching faculty openings in our elementary and middle school age classrooms in both Religious School (Sundays) and Hebrew School (Wednesdays).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching faculty spend time with administration and clergy learning about and enhancing curriculum, then translating those goals into fun and meaningful lesson plans for the year.
- Faculty build relationship with and within classes of 15-25 students, engage their parents/guardians in occasional gatherings like a class Shabbat dinner, and in general represent Shir Tikvah and our mission.
- The teaching experience begins in August at Faculty Orientation. Weekly faculty meetings for personal nourishment and professional learning take place each week before classes.
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
A familiarity with and readiness to live out the Shir Tikvah Mission.
