Job Summary/Description:
Shir Tikvah is looking to fill two roles for the 2019-20 year: a 1st-grade teacher and a 2nd-grade teacher. We are also hoping to hire a co-teacher to work with our 5th-grade teacher/class and our 7th-grade teacher/class.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Shir Tikvah teaching faculty prepare lesson plans that contribute to the goals of the assigned curriculum. Teachers arrive each Sunday motivated to learn with the faculty team before turning around and facilitating said lessons plans in their classes for two hours. Teachers build a relationship with their students and their families in-person and through regular communication to set parents and guardians up for success in supporting the classroom learning at home. Teachers work closely with the Shir Tikvah staff and clergy.
Experience and Qualifications
