One of the unfortunate effects of COVID for graduating seniors is the jobs that many thought they had were no longer available to them. Leah Meisel found this out the hard way. But she quickly pivoted, where she’s become the COVID Community Coordinator at JustUs Health, a non-profit health organization that works for equitable health care access and outcomes for people who experience injustice at the intersection of health status and identity. We talk about what brought her to and kept her in the Twin Cities, the nature of her job, and the importance of recognizing the health inequities in society, on this week’s Who The Folk?! Podcast.
